Gateway Capital is an Australian based investment management business focused on creating core assets in the industrial and logistics sectors through active management and development.

Gateway Capital partners with institutional investors to drive value from real estate through defined investment strategies to deliver outsized returns.

Our fully integrated management platform covering capital transactions, investment management, asset management, property management, redevelopment and finance provides strong foundations for the execution of our strategies. Our Executive Team

Stuart Dawes - Gateway Capital
Stuart Dawes
Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

Stuart is a co-founder of Gateway Capital and has over 23 years’ experience in the property industry in Australia and Europe working with institutional capital on real estate investment strategies. Before establishing Gateway Capital, Stuart was the Managing Director and CEO of ASX listed Propertylink Group, leading the growth in the Investment Management business to over $2 billion of assets under management before guiding the Company to an IPO in 2016.

Stuart has also held prior roles with Lend Lease (in Europe and Australia) as well as Barclays Capital with a focus on real estate equity investment in partnership with institutional capital partners. Stuart has a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) from the University of Western Sydney and a Master ofApplied Finance from Macquarie University.

Peter McDonald - Gateway Capital
Peter McDonald
Chief Investment Officer and Co-Founder

Peter is a co-founder of Gateway Capital and has over 34 years’ of property market experience in a variety of executive roles across the industrial and office sectors within Australia. In his former role as Chief Investment Officer ASX listed Propertylink Group, Peter oversaw the acquisition of over $2bn of industrial, logistics and office property, together with directing the asset management initiatives across the Group.

Peter has held prior roles with JLL, Lend Lease, Dexus and Valad Property Group with a long track record in concluding major transactions. Peter holds an Associate Diploma in Business (Valuation), a real estate licence, and was a long term member of the Property Council of Australia’s Industrial Committee and more recently the Diversity Committee.

Casey Greenberg - Gateway Capital

Casey has over 21 years’ experience in the Australian property market holding an intimate knowledge of the industrial & logistics sector across the eastern seaboard leading over $6bn worth of transactions during this time. Formerly the General Manager, Capital Transactions of ASX listed Propertylink Group, Casey has held senior roles with ESR Australia, JLL and CBRE with deep relationships across the market.

Casey has a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm), as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wollongong and has recently sat on the Capital Markets Committee of the Property Council of Australia (PCA).

Paul Jewiss - Gateway Capital

Senior Development Manager

Paul has 10 years’ experience in development across both the Industrial and Commercial sector of the Australian property markets. Prior to joining Gateway Capital, Paul held the position of Development Manager at ESR Australia leading the master planning and delivery of several large-scale industrial development sites.

Paul also held previous development roles with Commercial and Industrial Property (CIP) where he was responsible for all facets of the development process across a variety of projects. Paul is a qualified architect holding both a Bachelor and Master of Architecture from the University of NSW. He is also currently studying his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Sydney University.

Tony Groth - Gateway Capital

Chief Financial Officer

Tony has over 38 years of experience as a chartered accountant as well as a Chief Financial Officer for both unlisted and listed sectors of funds management within the real estate market.

Previously the Chief Financial Officer of Propertylink Group, joined in July 2021 as CFO of Gateway Capital to build out the finance function. Tony has deep finance experience in both unlisted and listed funds management in the real estate sector. Formerly the Chief Financial Officer of ASX listed Propertylink Group, Tony has held other C-suite roles with ESR Australia and Investorlink as well as being a partner in the Grant Thornton Accounting practice for many years.

Laura Knapman - Gateway Capital

Senior Asset Manager

Laura has over 11 years’ experience working in Property Management and Asset Management across the retail, commercial and industrial sectors in Australia. Prior to joining Gateway Capital, Laura worked at Propertylink Group, ESR Australia and Aliro Group which saw her focus on the Industrial Sector across the Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane markets.

Laura also champions the Gateway Capitals sustainability initiatives across the business. Laura has a Bachelor of Commerce from Macquarie University and a Diploma in Accounting from TAFE NSW.
